I am an independent, completely unattached writer, available for all projects individual or communal, big or small,
round or fat, poetic, sardonic, obsessive or just plain love stories about smoked cheese.
My writing style is adaptable and suitable for both digital and print media. I am interested in contributing SEO content, web content, printed features and articles, blogs, social media, press releases, promotional material and book projects.
I currently contribute to the official matchday programme of Leeds United Football club. I also write football posts for the "Here Is The City" website and you can read my articles on my profile page here:

Since 1994 I have been a contributing writer to the award-winning Leeds United independent supporters' magazine The Square Ball, which continues today.
For most of the last three years I have been working on compiling a definitive history of Elland Road Football Ground, which I started in 2011, but placed on hold whilst I completed my first book project. 'The Only Place For Us: An A-Z History of Elland Road' is to be published in February 2015. Such a book has never been attempted before and includes the development of the stadium, the changing environment in the surrounding area and the history and anecdotes surrounding the many features that make up the matchday experience. The book includes many memories and comment from various well-known Leeds United writers and personalities such as Howard Wilkinson and Bill Fotherby and has a foreword by David Batty. This has been a long term project involving huge amounts of research, interviews and studying of photos, as well as simply compiling the information and presenting it. In support of the book I have appeared on BBC Radio Leeds, LUTV and in the Yorkshire Evening Post.
